XRF
Elemental composition of cuttings and cores, right at the wellsite.

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is a rapid technique for measuring the elemental composition of drill cuttings and cores. The analyzer exposes the sample to X-rays, causing elements in the rock to emit characteristic fluorescent X-rays that quantify the major, minor, and trace elements.
One Geo XRF is a complete package built for the speed and conditions of the modern drilling industry, in the field and in the lab. In the field it runs about 20 minutes per sample as a complete “XRF-in-a-box” rental, with results delivered to LAS and over WITS, onsite and remotely.
Our field rental fleet spans several handheld analyzers, including the X-550, Vanta, and xSORT, matched to your program.

Where it goes to work.
XRF, common questions.
What is the turnaround per sample for field XRF?
Field XRF runs about 20 minutes per sample as a complete XRF-in-a-box rental, with results delivered to LAS and over WITS, onsite and remotely.
What is included in the XRF field rental?
A complete package built for the pad: the analyzer, handheld or test-stand deployment, remote monitoring, self-diagnostics and AI-assisted interpretation. Tell us about your well and we will scope it.
Can XRF support geosteering in real time?
Yes. Rapid elemental chemostratigraphy from cuttings supports wellsite lithology identification and target-zone verification, especially where the gamma ray is ambiguous.
