MIR
Continuous C1 to C5 hydrocarbons by mid-infrared, every 5 seconds.
MIR is a mid-infrared analyzer that measures C1 to C5 hydrocarbons continuously at the wellsite. It is a focused, rugged option for operations that need reliable light-hydrocarbon data without the full mass spectrum.

What it does.
Real-time C1 to C5
Continuous measurement of methane through pentane as you drill.
Rugged optics
A low-maintenance optical bench built for the pad.
Easy to run
Simple setup and operation alongside the rest of the suite.
MIR, common questions.
Is MIR available to rent, and what does it need to run?
Yes, MIR is available to rent as part of the field suite. It uses a rugged, low-maintenance optical bench and no carrier gas, so it is simple to keep running on the pad.
Should I run MIR or the Spec mass spectrometer?
Run MIR when you need reliable, continuous C1 to C5 data at lower cost. Run Spec when you also need inorganic and sulfur species and the full mass spectrum. Many operators deploy them together.
How does MIR data reach my logs?
MIR outputs to LAS and over WITS, so its 5 second C1 to C5 readings sit alongside your other curves in real time.
