We are a growing team spanning hardware, geoscience, and software. We are always glad to meet talented people. If any of the posted positions does not quite fit your profile, tell us what you do and how you can help.

Work across the stack

Field instruments, lab science, and the Live-Log software platform, all under one roof.

Real wells, real data

What we build is deployed globally and runs live on active wellsites.

Small team, big surface

Wear many hats, ship quickly, and own meaningful pieces of the product.

Open positions

3 roles across hardware, geoscience, and software.

Hardware

Senior Engineer

Nashville, TN$70,000–120,000 / year

A hardware-first role involved in every phase of a project, from R&D to finished product. You will take systems from concept to prototype to deployment with strong hands-on electronics, LabVIEW, and Autodesk capability. A basic understanding of chemistry is important, and any prior oilfield experience is extremely helpful.

Core responsibilities

  • PCB and circuit design in KiCad or similar, plus DAQ and electronic systems (schematic, layout, power, signal integrity, noise, wiring harness).
  • Embedded systems and microcontroller programming: firmware, sensor interfacing, Arduino, and communications over Serial, Modbus, UART, and TCP.
  • Develop instrument control and data acquisition systems in LabVIEW.
  • Mechanical design of enclosures, components, and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
  • WITSML for data export and import.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers.

Example projects

  • Gas sensors built from off-the-shelf elements such as electrochemical, NDIR, MIR, TCD, CCD, and gas chromatographs.
  • Gas and rock sampling systems.
  • Automation and control systems: relays, valves, pumps, detectors, pneumatics, and imaging.
  • Integration and automation of analytical instruments such as XRF.

Must-have skills

  • PCB and circuit design
  • LabVIEW
  • Autodesk Inventor CAD

Nice-to-have skills

  • JavaScript, Python, C#
  • React, Node.js, Express
  • MongoDB, PostgreSQL
  • AWS (EC2, S3)

These enable closer work with the software team, but the role is hardware-first.

Education and experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of work experience in electronics, LabVIEW, and Autodesk is required.

Bonus experience

  • Oil and gas experience.
  • Analytical instrumentation: GC, FID, mass spec, XRF, porosity and permeability, and imaging systems.

Office based in Nashville, TN$70,000–120,000 / year

Interpret and integrate geological and geochemical data sets to maximize the impact of company deliverables, working closely with the software team and supporting our users.

What you will do

  • Interpret geological and geochemical data sets, primarily mass spectrometric geochemical data from mudgas analysis and elemental data from XRF. Other streams include high-resolution imaging, fluid inclusion geochemistry, and porosity and permeability.
  • Integrate this with mudlog and publicly available data, such as structure maps and production history, to maximize the impact of company deliverables.
  • Prepare and present reports, and publish technical articles.
  • Work closely with the software team to develop and improve our software offerings.
  • Offer technical support to users and help increase sales.

What you will bring

  • Fundamental knowledge of petroleum geochemistry, sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
  • Some knowledge of reservoir, drilling, and production engineering is helpful.
  • Familiarity with various petroleum basins in the USA is required, and may be gained on the job.
  • Knowledge of conventional and unconventional petroleum resources, geothermal, helium, hydrogen, and CCUS applications.

Education and experience

  • A Master’s in Geosciences and 5 years of experience in operations geology, mudlogging, and geosteering is preferred.

Screening questions

  • How many years of work experience do you have with mud logging?
  • How many years of work experience do you have with geosteering?
  • How many years of work experience do you have with petroleum geology?

Minimum of 1 year in each.
